AIf you are in the mood for a different kind of Texas two-step, then head out to Fall Creek Vineyards “Burgers ‘n Blues” Independence Day Celebration, Saturday, July 5th, 11:00am – 5:00pm, for a chance to enjoy a pairing of some unique Texas art and fine Texas wine, showcasing local Texas artists. The event is free, but grilled plate lunches are available with advance reservation at $15 for adults and $6 for children by calling 325/379-5361. The adult menu includes scrumptious food from The Acme in Llano, with your choice of a sizzling chicken breast, a delicious crab cake, Home of Maurie Kay’s famous Crab Cakes, or a beef burger with potato salad or pasta, chips and cookie (souvenir wine glass and tasting included.) The children’s menu includes a hot dog, pickle, chips and cookie.
“Adding art, and more specifically original Texas art, to our annual celebration is just as exciting for us as it is for our guests,” said Susan Auler of Fall Creek Vineyards. “By incorporating these talented artisans into this event, our guests will have the pleasure of experiencing fine art with wine, simply another art form. It is truly a perfect pairing.”
The featured artwork will range from paintings to woodworking. The artists themselves will be on hand to talk about their work, and in some cases, demonstrate their craft, and, of course, these original art pieces will be available for purchase. In addition to the art, guests will also enjoy wine tastings, grilled burgers and the sounds of John Van Vleck’s live hill country blues music, amid the majestic vineyard views.Fall Creek Vineyards is centrally located on the northwest shores of beautiful Lake Buchanan at Tow, Texas, in the Hill Country and is open to the public every day.
