On Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 am join FCV co-owner and winemaker Ed Auler, along with famed ‘Cowboy Chef’ Paul Petersen on a rare nature tour, picnic and tasting.
Recently opened to the public for the first time, Fall Creek Falls on the Auler’s private ranch property has a long history, dating back over 10,000 years. The 90’ falls on Lake Buchanan create a gorgeous picnic backdrop and the perfect setting for hiking, paddleboating and photography.
The Aulers have created a picturesque road to the falls and purchased a 20 passenger bus to carry guests in comfort for a lovely 20 minute ride. Guests will enjoy a visually stunning tour of the area and learn about its fascinating history by outdoor/history expert Ed Auler.
Once at the falls, Chef Petersen will create a spectacular feast and entertain guests with a ‘pig-nacious’ cooking demonstration.
Sublime swine deserves only to be complemented with the best wine, Meritus, Texas, 2010, as owners Ed and Susan Auler personally pour the first release of this new vintage for our loyal Fall Creek Wine Club members. Additionally, the new Fall Creek Cache, Lenoir Rose, Tempranillo and other Fall Creek favorites will further tantalize taste-buds!
Guests will meet at the winery at 11:00 am and from there take a picturesque ride to the Falls, enjoy a picnic lunch and grilling demo by Chef Petersen, then back to the winery for dessert.
