Denman Moody has been involved with wine for more than three decades. He began the quarterly wine newsletter Moody’s Wine Review in 1978. The Washington Post said his review was ―the best publication in this country for tracking the state of rare and exotic wines.
He was the contributing editor on rare wines for International Wine Review in New York, and has also been published in numerous national and international publications, including Revue du Vin de France in Paris. For the past decade, Moody has written the monthly wine column for Houston Lifestyles and Homes and its four sister magazines, reaching more than 400,000 high-end homes in Houston.
In 1991 Denman was inducted into ―Who's Who in Food and Wine in Texas—recognized as a major contributor to the field of food and wine in Texas‖ by The Dallas Morning News and the Texas Department of Agriculture. He has also received a lifetime achievement award from the Houston Grand Opera Wine Classic.
